Ancient Greece

The clothes that are interesting are those for ancient Greece.

Both men and women had worn loose clothes. The pieces of the daily wardrobe were the chiton, himation, peplos and chlamis. Hellines (Greeks) are creative humans and have an endless imagination. Therefore they had dressed in a different way every day.

Men had worn the chioton (an inner short tunic) and fix them in their body with the help of a belt (leather or rope). They had protected their feet with the sandals.

Women had worn the peplos (an inner long tunic) or chiton with one or two belts. They had worn sandals too.

Many fashion designers influence by ancient Greece. Some of them are Alexander McQueen (United Kingdom), Stelios Koudounaris (Cyprus),Jean-Paul Gaultier (France) e.t.c

Introduction

This blog refers to people that are interested in culture and fashion. In my opinion the first steps of fashion starts from your, my and our country. The traditional clothes hide many secrets of the life. Every time that I discover a traditional garment, the elements of the particular country lure me. I feel the wind of China's mountains in my face, the tingling of Indonesia's water, the African grass brings me the smell of Maasai's herbs and the taste of the Brazilian coffee relaxes me from the summer sun.
